Meet the Chef
CRAIG RUTHERFORD - EXECUTIVE CHEF.
A native of Chicago, Illinois, Craig Rutherford found his calling to cuisine at a young age at the Chicago Yacht Club. As a result he enrolled in The Culinary School of Kendall College and embarked on what would become his new career and passion. Upon graduation he worked at many different establishments, most notably, Ambria and the Ritz Carlton Hotel, before embarking on his current catering endeavors.
In 1996 Craig opened BoJono's Pizzeria, a North side Chicago pizza, pasta and sandwich neighborhood spot. In 2010 Craig co-launched Healthy Kids Kitchen, a grammar school hot lunch program that provides about 1,000 whole, natural meals made with real, fresh ingredients per day.
Coupled with the continued success of his current culinary establishments and the consistent demand for his culinary expertise, a need for a company dedicated to catering became apparent and Savour the Dates was launched in 2017.

I have had Craig handle a couple of events for me and my company. Group sizes from 20 to 200+ They have a wide range of food choices from basic to high end and have always been great. On time, great quality, fair prices. We will continue to use them as our go to for corporate and private events!
I used Craig to cater my wedding. Everything was amazing!! We had about 300 people and went with appetizers and a buffet. There was more then enough food and 7 years later people still talk about how good the food was! Craig was great to work with and made it so easy. He always answered my calls and emails quickly. Craig made my wedding even more special and took so much pressure off of me. I have used him for parties since and will use him again!
Fantastic is one word. We hare used Craig for many catering jobs and they have never disappointed us in any way. It is not always easy to find someone that we all want to keep using. You should give them a try I know we will again.
